Day 1
The story I am about to tell you actually happened weeks ago, oops... As we speak, I'm sitting in a crowded, but big, PC bang. It's a PC room full of computers and gamers that play games on the computers while cursing a lot. The internet is really fast here and there is air conditioning, so I quite like it.
Anyways, back to the story. So it was July 23rd when I arrived at Incheon International Airport. My friend Jae picked me up and we were going to take the train to Busan.
So, after traveling about 12 hours by plane and about 6 hours by train, I've finally arrived in Busan! Time to go to our hostel, Kim's House. It was about 8 PM and Jae and I were starving. We met two girls, Soo Hyeon and Jin Hee, in the hostel whom we shared a room with and we went out to eat together!
We had a lot of fun talking about our interests and our differences in cultures and we also had good food. It was a good first day!
Day 2
Like real tourists, of course we had to go on the Busan city tour. We woke up early and took the subway to Busan Station and got a ticket for the Taejongdae tour. The bus stops at about 10 different places and you can get off and look around and get on the next bus to go to the next location. A very cool concept.
The first stop was the Oryukdo Skywalk. A beautiful place as you can see.
The second stop was Taejongdae. It was the highlight of the tour, since the tour is named after it. We stayed here for a long while and even had lunched sitting on a rock above the ocean.
After Taejongdae we went to a few other stops before we got to the BIFF Square. It's a big place with a lot of local street food, shops and even fortune tellers booths. It was around dinner time, so of course we were very willing to try some street food!
Okay, so in Korea, there are a lot of pet shops with cute dogs! I really wish I could get one, but it would probably be a lot of trouble to bring them home... So instead I'll just be taking pictures for now. I mean, look at this cute husky drinking water! THOSE EYES!
Day 3
Day 3 is sort of the last day we could enjoy the beautiful and fun Busan, since we had to take the train back to Seoul the day after.
We decided we would go to Gamcheon Culture Village. There were a lot of interesting shops and restaurants, although a little overpriced. It was fun to explore this place, although walking up and down the hills is so damn tiring. I'm so used to the Netherlands being so flat, it just isn't good for me hahaha.
After that we decided to go to Haeundae beach. We got there with our heavy stuff and no towel or anything. The waves were strong and a lot of people were playing in the sea and we wanted to do that too, so we ended up going back to the hostel to dump our stuff and bring the minimum. I didn't even bring my phone for pictures, sadly. But I did have such a good time, I really missed swimming and playing in clean beaches like this one.
That was my short trip to Busan. I definitely wish that I've stayed longer, but maybe there will be a chance to come back...
